Can I claim benefits from my lapsed policy if my loved one has already passed on?
No, there will be no benefits claimed on a lapsed policy.
What happens to my funeral plan if I miss a payment?
All our policies have a two-month grace period if policy premiums have not been paid. However, policy will lapse if the total unpaid policy balance in your premium account is more than 3 missed payments.
Can I reinstate a lapsed funeral plan and how?
Yes, it can be reinstated within 30 days of the effective lapse date and premiums have been received for at least 6 uninterrupted months prior to lapse date. Payment of arrears premiums has to be caught up and paid in full and no claim will be paid for claim events that took place when the policy was in a lapsed state.
